In this lecture we went over tips for building portfolios and CVs in preparation for applying for jobs and placement opportunities.

It is important to keep in the loop when it comes to design. What’s going on in the design world, trends, innovations and news are important to follow. Knowing the industry will give me the edge on other designers who may not stay up to date. Knowing the industry helps us to design for the future.

• Always use the simplest language.
• Try saying it out loud, then writing it down.
• Be as succinct as possible. Take new sentences often.
