A landing page is a webpage which introduces your brand/app to potential users. As they are webpages, these screens are navigated via scrolling down, which should be taken into account when designing the page’s hierarchy.
To start, I created a diagram to represent the hierarchy of my landing page, sorting out elements into 3 categories; primary, secondary and tertiary. These will appear in order of importance on my landing page.
I looked at Revolut’s landing page for inspiration and found that they had the same general hierarchy that I had outlined for my app as well, with the top of the page featuring an example of their UI and a slogan of theirs which represents their brand values and tone of voice. In the mid section they highlighted key features of their app; and at the end they had a call to action to download, as well as an option to setup a plan.
While working on this landing page I made sure to keep reminding myself of my brand values and how they should be reflected in this webpage as an introduction to potential users. I didn’t want the landing page to be too content heavy- instead keeping it minimalistic and relying on more text rather than imagery. While working on the landing page I made sure to keep referencing how it looked in prototype view, fit to screen, to ensure it worked.
